Is it really free?
Yes. Pick your edition, enter your email so Gumroad can send the files, and download. No card needed.
Which edition do I need?
If you own or run the truck, take the Operator Edition. If the truck comes to you, because you send, receive, pack, load or book freight, take the Chain Edition. Both are free, so take both if you do both.
Can I edit it?
Yes. Every edition comes as a PDF to read and print, and a Word file to edit. Put your business name on the cards and checklists. See the licence for what you can share.
Does it cover WA and the NT?
No. The Heavy Vehicle National Law does not apply in Western Australia or the Northern Territory, and the Playbooks do not cover them.
How current is it?
First edition, October 2026. The law chapters follow the Heavy Vehicle National Law as amended from 1 August 2026. Every legal statement carries its section and page so you can check it. Laws change, so check the NHVR before you act.
Is this legal advice?
No. It is practical guidance and general information. Get qualified advice for your own operation.
I can't find my download.
